Our Team

The following is the current management team of Sweet Power.

Siva Angappan, MBA CEO

Siva Angappan has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in chemical engineering in addition to an MBA from University of Victoria. He has more than 12 years of experience in engineering, consulting, and project management in a variety of industries.

Dr. Mu Chiao, PhD, Chief Technology Officer, Founder/Director

Canada Research Chair for MEMS and Nanotechnology for biomedical devices at UBC. Dr. Chiao is the inventor of Sweet Power’s fuel cell. He is currently an Assistant Professor at University of British Columbia.

Thomas Ahn, BSc, BComm, Founder/Director

Thomas is the founder and director of Sweet Power Inc. and directs the overall vision of the company. He is an active entrepreneur, an expert in technology research and also in nurturing technology start-ups. Thomas has successfully incubated several IT companies in Korea including Mobile Culture, iCity and Acrotech. Prior to Sweet Power, he was a venture capitalist with Hanmi Technology Investment and has taught various topics in entrepreneurship at the Korean Venture Capital Institute. He holds a B.Sc degree from POSTECH in Korea and a B.Com degree from the University of Victoria in Canada.

Erinn Broshko, LLB, Corporate Secretary

Erinn Broshko is an Associate with Farris, Vaughan, Wills & Murphy LLP in Vancouver, BC. Erinn’s practice focuses on commercial transactions and business law. Erinn assists clients in evaluating, negotiating and closing various complex transactions, including public (NYSE, NASDAQ, OTCBB, TSX, TSX Venture Exchange) and private mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, public offerings, private placements and venture capital financings, joint venture and collaborative manufacture/service arrangements and franchise arrangements. Erinn also assists public companies in preparing for shareholder meetings, complying with corporate governance requirements, and complying with public disclosure requirements.
